Rooted in Eastern wisdom and seasonal living: shared meals, yoga, tai chi, qigong, somatic release, tea rituals, live music, art therapy, and getaway retreats, made for reconnecting with yourself and each other.
Small rooms, long tables, good company. Every gathering is plant-based, seasonal, and open to newcomers.
从心到根: heart to center to root. Three teas, three chapters, three pieces of live music with Echoes of China, co-hosted with Ivy Hermit. A mooncake tasting to close the circle, the week before the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Three days, two nights, all the way slowed down. Healing through compassion, held at an animal sanctuary as the season turns inward. Details go to the RSVP list first.
Since 2023 we've hosted more than 75 gatherings: suppers, tea meditations, clothing swaps, jazz nights, and retreats. Browse them all on our Partiful page.
"Food as medicine, mindful movement, and cultural rituals as pathways to balance, nourishment, and inner clarity."
Veggie Chi grew out of my own healing journey. Food, movement, mindfulness and authentic connection taught me that loving yourself, and loving the people and nature around you, are deeply interconnected. It starts with the simple things: a nourishing seasonal meal, moving your body with the season, sitting with a thought and letting it dissolve, sending love to yourself and the people around you. I healed through each meal, each movement, each thought, each connection, rooted in the Eastern wisdom I grew up with.
I started Veggie Chi in 2023 to bring this to more people. What began as a small table of friends is now a community across the city: suppers, tea meditations, qigong in the park, jazz nights, and cooking videos in two languages. If you're looking for a community that cares about the same things, we'd love to welcome you.
